Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Manufacturing industry, is seeking to appoint an Electrician with experience in the Milling and Packaging industry, to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems within the milling and packaging machinery. Applicants must reside in and around the Durban, Umbilo area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and machinery in the mill and packaging area.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults ensuring minimal downtime in production.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Trade Test Certificate as an Electrician.
- Experience in the Milling, Packaging, or FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and machinery.
- Good troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills
