Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Wholesale and Retail sector, is seeking to appoint an experienced Retail Store Frontline Supervisor to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in the Pietermaritzburg area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations of frontline staff.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Maintain store standards including work accuracy, cleanliness, and service delivery
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Taking steps towards frontline staff responsible for complaints: Disciplinary action (guided by Management) or additional training.
- Assist with staff training and performance monitoring.
- Train frontline staff on Client Care and Customer Service using Training Manuals.
- Monitor and manage performance based on Frontline Staff KPI’s.
- Take corrective action or disciplinary action (guided by Management).
- Enforce health, safety, and security protocols.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT): Maintain a minimum acceptable score.
- Staff Productivity: Monitor and improve team efficiency and engagement.
- Daily Reports: Staff propriety, General customer service, Customer queries, and General observations.
- Shrinkage Control: Minimize stock losses through effective supervision.
- Manage incorrect charging, scanning and corrective action.
- Reports on incorrect pricing to the designated person.
Compliance:
- Adhere to and implement Company Policies and Procedures.
- Managing and reporting on Disciplinary matters for Frontline staff.
- Store Presentation: Ensure consistent high-level customer service and cleanliness standards.
- Manage staff accuracy: Ensure staff work performance is managed and accuracy of work is at a high level.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Applicants must be able to demonstrate competencies inherently required for this position:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Minimum 4 (Four) years’ experience in a retail supervisory role.
- Entry-level knowledge of LRA and BCEA.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to resolve customer issues effectively.
- Computer literacy (POS systems, MS Office).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
