Our Client, a leader in the Hospitality Industry, seeks to appoint an experienced Cashier. Applicants need to reside in and around the Tokai or Retreat area only.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately record transactions on POS and follow all cash handling procedures.
- Accurately and swiftly collect proper payment and provide proper change if required.
- Check prices and be knowledgeable about the location of items in the canteen.
- Utilize and maintain payment equipment as required.
- Report any equipment problems immediately.
- Maintain a clean, neat, organised, and safe work environment.
- Greet all customers and provide them with prompt, courteous service and assistance.
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
- Collect payments whether in cash or credit.
- Track transactions on balance sheets.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Must have Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Must be able to perform basic Maths.
- Proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English language.
- Must be able to stand and or walk for the duration of scheduled shift.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
- Must be able to work all assigned work shifts and comply with time and attendance policies.
- Work overtime if required.
- Clear criminal record.
Package & Remuneration
Market-related salary.
