Our Client, a recognised leader in the FMCG Industry and an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation, is seeking a resilient, detail-driven, and highly organised individual to join their team as a Maintenance Storeman. This is a newly established, automated warehouse environment where precision, pace, and professionalism are essential. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining Policies and Procedures, ensuring operational excellence and compliance from day one.
This is not a routine stores role — it demands sharp focus, rapid execution, and unwavering professionalism in a high-performance setting. If you do not thrive under pressure or lack experience in large-scale, fast-paced warehouse operations, this position will not be a fit.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Ordering and receiving of goods.
• Ensuring that all materials are available and issued as per maintenance requirements.
• Ensuring that stock levels are maintained in accordance with specifications.
• Eliminating stock losses and or shrinkages.
• Prevention of redundant stock.
• Receiving and issuing of spares.
• Issuing out of tools and equipment.
• Maintaining stock control records as per company standards.
• Housekeeping of the Store.
• Manage stock take – Weekly and end of month.
• Maintaining of minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Getting the service and quality from Service providers.
• Inventory monitoring and management of critical spares and obsolete stock.
• E-CODE system.
• Ordering Stock through the buyer.
Desired Experience & Qualification
• Grade 12 (Twelve).
• 3 (Three) – 5 (Five) years’ experience in a Workshop and or Engineering environment.
• Driving license Code B Other.
• Food safety knowledge.
• Safe working practices.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office with a strong Excel knowledge. Experience on C-works will be an added advantage.
• Good management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Planning and organizing skills.
• Accuracy and high level of attention to detail.
• Problem solving.
• Numerical ability.
• Stock rotation.
Requirements
• Availability for excessive working hours, including weekends and shifts, as required by the role.
• Ability to work in environments exposed to noise and warm temperatures.
• Own transportation to commute to work locations or travel as necessary.
Package & Remuneration
Positioned at a competitive mid-level total cost to company of R280 000 to R300 000 per annum, aligned with experience and qualifications. Final offer will be discussed during the recruitment process.
