Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Food Service Industry, seeks to employ a Restaurant Manager to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in and around the Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop all employee relations in accordance with required standards of the franchisor.
- To protect the investment of the owners and ensure favorable ROI, which in turn protects the investment of the group.
- Improve the service and operating standards by addressing problematic areas through proper communication (written confirmation and meetings).
- Ensure proper introduction of national marketing materials and activities to promote turnover at restaurant level.
- Ensure the correct standard of operations by running of the restaurant which equates to good marketing by word of mouth.
- Identify training requirements to fulfill the job functions as allocated.
- Arrange and institute mystery shopper reports for the individual restaurants.
- Handle and manage all complaints (customer concerns) from the general public, proactively, punctually and effectively.
- Ensure correct running of the restaurant.
- Review and understand each complaint and ensure the necessary training takes place to address problematic issues.
- Maintain relationships with current customers.
- Grow number of new customers entering the restaurant.
- Ensure that restaurant receives zero complaints and many compliments.
- Review, analyse and institute corrective measures to address all unacceptable operational aspects.
- Carry out regular, properly structured meetings and training workshops with management, waitrons and production staff.
- Do daily cash-ups which must include all cash paid invoices with the payout slip attached.
- Ensure timeous written confirmation of all reports, reviews, and general meetings and communication to third parties e.g. suppliers and the franchise company.
- Maintain the performance management and appraisal program.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- At least 3 (Three) years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the food service industry.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Package & Remuneration
Market-related salary of R14 000 per month.
