Introduction
Our Client, a recognised leader in the FMCG Industry and an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation, is seeking a resilient, detail-driven, and highly organised individual to join their team as a Storeman. This is a newly established, automated warehouse environment where precision, pace, and professionalism are essential. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining Policies and Procedures, ensuring operational excellence and compliance from day one.
This is not a routine stores role — it demands sharp focus, rapid execution, and unwavering professionalism in a high-performance setting. If you do not thrive under pressure or lack experience in large-scale, fast-paced warehouse operations, this position will not be a fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, issue, and manage stock in a large, automated warehouse.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of warehouse Policies and Procedures.
- Collaborate with the on-site Buyer; experience in procurement will be advantageous.
- Operate effectively under pressure in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Ensure the warehouse remains organised, clean, and audit-ready at all times.
- Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and pride in all interactions.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) is essential; a formal qualification in Warehousing or Logistics will be an advantage.
- Extensive experience in a large warehouse environment within a corporate or industrial setting.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with precision.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach.
- Well-spoken, dynamic, and professional in conduct.
- Neat, pedantic, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Remuneration
Positioned at a competitive mid-level total cost to company, aligned with experience and qualifications. Final offer will be discussed during the recruitment process.
