Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Retail industry, is seeking to appoint an experienced Floor Supervisor to join their dynamic team. The Floor Supervisor will oversee and direct the daily activities, schedules, and assignments of employees, compiling customer orders, handling customer queries, resolving issues, inventory storage and loading of customer orders and deliveries. Applicants must reside in and around Pietermaritzburg.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee receipt and verification of incoming goods; ensures goods are offloaded, stored, and verified according to policy.
- Ensure that an accurate inventory record of goods is maintained in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure orderly storage of incoming goods; maintains detailed records of available products and their storage locations.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, random checks on at least a weekly basis, and thorough checks on at least a monthly basis.
- Delegate fulfillment of customer orders to staff; maintains inventory database when orders are fulfilled.
- Ensure rotation of stock using FIFO.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve).
- 3 (Three) years Diploma, Degree, or equivalent required.
- At least 3 (Three) years of related experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of the Store procedures and policies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to keep accurate records.
- Strong background in the FMCG industry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software, and software used to maintain inventory.
