Introduction
Our Client, a recognised and respected leader in the FMCG Industry and an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation, is seeking a resilient, detail-driven, and highly organised individual to join their Engineering and Maintenance team as a Maintenance Administrator. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance activities, supporting production efficiency, and maintaining compliance with internal and external standards. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and supportive team environment, and have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to production reliability and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer and track all maintenance work orders using internal systems.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules with relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment servicing, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs, costs, and downtime trends.
- Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with suppliers for timely procurement.
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and company Policies and Procedures.
- Support audits and inspections by preparing and presenting required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external contractors.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve).
- Diploma or Certificate in Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 (Three) years experience in a Maintenance Administrator role, preferably within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Syspro.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and maintenance-related compliance.
- Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Understanding of maintenance workflows and engineering terminology.
