Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the Chemical Industry, seeks to employ a Stock Controller to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in and around the Cape Town area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring accurate stock records and optimizing stock movement within the warehouse or storage facilities.
- Ensuring minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained.
- Overseeing the receiving of raw materials, finished products and other inventory items.
- Overseeing storage of products, particularly of fragile items.
- Coordinating regular inventory audits on site.
- Verifying and inspecting incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, movements and usage.
- Conducting regular stock counts, reconciliations and audits.
- Performing counts and ensuring all inventory is accounted.
- Responsible for managing and running planned stock taking.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller or in a similar role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Experience within the chemicals industry (advantageous).
- Pastel or similar ERP experience (advantageous).
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
Package & Remuneration
