Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the FMCG and Manufacturing Industry, is seeking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety Administrator to join their dynamic team in Vereeniging (Vaal Triangle) on a 3-month Contract basis. The ideal candidate will be highly organised to provide administrative support to the Health and Safety Officer and assist in maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards within a fast-paced FMCG and or manufacturing environment.
Applicants must reside in and around Vereeniging.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain health and safety records, registers, permits, and documentation.
- Capture and update incident, inspection, and training records.
- Assist with safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate health and safety training and induction programmes.
- Monitor PPE issuance records and compliance documentation.
- Prepare safety reports, statistics, and meeting minutes.
- Assist with contractor and visitor safety administration.
- Ensure all health and safety files are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field advantageous.
- 2 to 3 years’ administrative experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Basic knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and document control skills.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Experience with health and safety reporting systems will be advantageous.
Package & Remuneration
R12 500 (TCTC) per month.
