
Introduction
Our Client, a leader in the FMCG and Manufacturing Industry, is seeking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Administrator to join their dynamic team in Vereeniging (Vaal Triangle). The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented to support the maintenance team by coordinating maintenance activities, managing records, and ensuring the efficient administration of maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Applicants must reside in and around Vereeniging.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer and track all maintenance work orders using internal systems.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules with relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment servicing, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs, costs, and downtime trends.
- Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with suppliers for timely procurement.
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and company Policies and Procedures.
- Support audits and inspections by preparing and presenting required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external contractors.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Twelve).
- At least 2 years experience in a Maintenance Administrator role, preferably within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Syspro.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and maintenance-related compliance.
- Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Understanding of maintenance workflows and engineering terminology.
Package & Remuneration
R250 000 – R350 000 per annum, depending on experience.
